Basic Pack 1 –

quality control

Package details:

• GC/FID analysis of the new perfume batch and its reference on a column of predefined polarity (polar or non-polar), with 2 injections

• Highlighting deviations based on criteria predefined with the client for major peaks >1%

• Identification of missing or additional peaks compared to the reference

• Conformity decision according to pre-established criteria

Deliverable:

Analysis report including chromatograms, analytical conditions, comparison of % FID for compounds >1%, detected deviations, and the conformity decision

Basic Pack 2 – quality control + identification

Package details:

• Includes Basic Pack 1

• Addition of GC/MS analysis of the fragrance blend and its reference to identify compounds covered in the report (>1%)

Deliverable:

Same as Basic Pack 1, plus the names of identified compounds and CAS numbers if available

Package details:

• Includes Basic Pack 2

• All identifiable compounds are listed, even those <1%

Deliverable:

Same as Basic Pack 3, plus the identified compounds <1%

Basic Pack 3 – full quality control

Unknown Pack 1 – Perfume without Reference

Package details:

• GC/MS analysis on a single column (polar or non-polar, your choice)

• Use of LRI to validate identifications

• Identification of all detectable peaks; unknown peaks >1% will be listed with their m/z values

Deliverable:
Analysis report including the chromatogram, analytical conditions, GC/MS-identified compounds, associated % MS, and unknowns >1%

Unknown Pack 1 – Perfume without Reference + FID%

Package details:

• Includes Unknown Pack 1

• GC/FID injection on a column of the same polarity as chosen in Pack 1

• Correlation of % FID with identified compounds

Deliverable:
Same as Unknown Pack 1, plus the associated % FID

Package details:

• Includes Unknown Pack 2

• Quantification of compounds in weight/weight (% w/w) via GC/FID using internal calibration and predicted response factors (RRF) according to the combustion enthalpy method, officially recommended by IOFI

Deliverable:
Same as Unknown Pack 2, plus the associated % mass
